Been re-reading The Confessions of Saint Augustine and loving it. I wonder about translation however Augustine's clarity in thought and his humble approach is a breath of fresh air. Speaking of breath of fresh air, and as there is hardly a contemporary writer (no matter genre) that one feels really refreshed after reading, I must mention the other author (besides Augustine) that brings a sense of life to his work and that is Athos and his book A Little Guide to Your Last Days.
You are most kind, Aramis. If I am blessed to make it to Heaven, I imagine that St. Augustine will appear like a far-off mountain to me, an ant-hill by comparison.
