In 6 Months It'll Feel Normal

Okay. It's coming, it's more in keeping with ancient texts, it's our opportunity to show we're not fuddy-duddy sticks in the mud. Via New Advent here is what you need to know about the upcoming changes in the Mass.

Normal, really? As a resident of the twin cities of Bloomington/Normal I don't know if I should feel glee or a forewarning by your post heading.

a Normal what?

Dear Ath,
fuddy-duddy sticks in the mud?

or

gnostics as we all proclaim:
“And with your spirit

along with the fact that it no longer is a "We" that proclaims the Nicene Creed but an "I" (where the I is not expressing outwardly its 'being' in the We - the Other or the other – but in the individual).

Yes, I grant you that it is more in keeping with ancient texts, but we must realize that it has also taken many many and many a saint to explain away the ancient heresies of Gnosticism that used such texts to pervert the Truth.

It is not that I am against such change however I pray that this change will be used as an opportunity to lead pastors and liturigal leaders toward better catechetical instructions for all their members.

Thanks for the nifty site with Fr Aguilar's exposition of Gnosticism, Aramis. Have a wonderfully abnormally normal day ...
