I find St. Jerome Emiliani's story compelling. A do-it-on-your-own guy of fellow, gets slapped into a dungeon and sees how far human power will truly take you. Reverses course and exerts the same knightly energy - but now for the care of orphans and widows, et al. That, as I once wd say, will preach. It is the best and finest of chivalry. Cheers
