All 4 1 & 1 4 All

If you haven't recently visited Musical Monk's blog, you may not have noticed the change on his shingle: D’artagnan. The 3 Mass'keteers have admired our brother in Christ's youthful exploits hither and yon -- Italy, O'Hare Airport, Mickey D's -- all the exotic destinations of a debonair and cavalier young rake. [Note to Aramis: Please change the name of D'artagnan's blog in sidebar. There's a good chap.] What ho and anon!

Honored to be honored in such a way, or as a wise ol' sage once said; "Cooooo-kieeeees!!!!!"

Pardon my ignorance, but what does it mean, Objets D'artagnan? 'objet' in French, if I read my dictionary correctly is an object of artistic worth or curiosity, esp. a small object.

Ah, but our d'Artagnan is no small curiousity - no, no! For our d'Artagnan is chuck full of romance and mischief. So what is it to mean?

A playful play on words: objets d'art (objects of art) becomes objects of D'artagnan, an artisan whose works frame masterpieces and ARE masterpieces in themselves.

Thanks again for such kind words. In regards to myself as an artisan, serving the Great Artist, at one point during my Italy trip, when holding the finished prototype of one of my designs, the sheer perfection and beauty of it almost drove me to my knees in praise of a loving God who has graced me with the ability to create (as well as the grace and freedom of knowing where all my abilities come from). There was of course lots of thanksgiving and praise when I was alone with our Lord, and not in a crowded board room.

Peace,
d'artagnan

Proposal: since D'art has the handle, why don't we make him a blog team member here, too? He can drop in and do "guest posts" whenever he felt like it (though he'd be a team member and not a guest). He could even shamelessly promote his own blog and link to his posts there. Why not? Just a thought.

My very suggestion via email, Porthos. It'd take very little to change our shingle to "The four Mass'keteers," eh?

Aramis agrees, let us truly be 4.

'Course, you'll have to find him a mug shot, Aramis, if he chooses to enter the Mass'keteer Academy ...
