I wanted to see Dragonslayer, however we have not been able to track down it down.David Nybakkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13172189118334371454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37222179.post-35203225105866527842008-05-08T14:36:00.000-04:002008-05-08T14:36:00.000-04:00Ath, great post and I will have to check out Drago...Ath, great post and I will have to check out Dragonslayer. My experience with battling the dragon came after my bout with the stroke and so I was maybe in a little bit different mind set. I felt it was more in line with a Neo-like experience, finally letting it all go through a total self-abandonment and fully allowing God to use me as an instrument in the battle against the dragon. I don't know if these words make much sense to anyone, especially to anyone who has not had to take up the fight, and my prayers are that they won't have to, but I never felt so close to God than at those moments where I took up my cross and allowed Christ to help carry it for me.David Nybakkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13172189118334371454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37222179.post-54123921122834215772008-05-07T08:24:00.000-04:002008-05-07T08:24:00.000-04:00Don't forget to read A WIzard of Earthsea (by Ursu...Don't forget to read A WIzard of Earthsea (by Ursula LeGuin) someday, for (among other things) a few more tips on dragons.Porthoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15068816321548529889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37222179.post-13871789938770262972008-05-06T11:35:00.000-04:002008-05-06T11:35:00.000-04:00I am honored by your praise, Porthos. Amazing the connections that come to you when so confined to the precinct of one's own four walls.

Perhaps I'll get new directives from the medico tomorrow (fingers crossed).Athoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09158421880497827083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37222179.post-75087665811827756392008-05-06T10:18:00.000-04:002008-05-06T10:18:00.000-04:00You wrote that! Well, whatever else, you can perhaps be comforted by the fact that you are developing some mongo writing chops these days. Which is itself a good reason to get well, no?Porthoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15068816321548529889noreply@blogger.com
